What is a good digital SLR camera, but cheap for a novice photographer?
I'm starting and I wonder what is a good camera that is inexpensive to practice.
Sony A230 w/18-55mm zoom. $ 399.95 at B & H. http://www.bhphotovideo.com Why buy a discontinued model, like the Nikon D40 or D60? The A230 is 10MP and has a camera focus motor and has a version of Sony's image stabilization in the camera body. With D40/D60/D3000/D5000 Nikon has to buy Nikon AF-I and AF-S if you want autofocus. Nikon has its version of image stabilization in some of their lenses. With the A230 any lens designed to focus automatic autofocus with it and will be an image stabilized lens. You can use every Minolta Maxxum AF lens made since 1985 with the A230, more lenses designed for the Konica-Minolta 5D and 7D DSLR cameras. For an extra $ 150.00 you can upgrade to the Sony A330 which has arguably the best view live in any current digital SLR. Apart from that they are identical.
