The students attendees to whom I spoke all agreed on their enjoyment of the video "Clear Vision" by Dewitt Jones and wish that they could have seen more of it. Overall, this was a very extraordinary video with passion, vision, techniques, and ideas that seem to have really opened up the creativity in a lot of our minds. Comments I received from some of the students and faculty included the following: "I enjoyed the creativity video the most. I also enjoyed the conversation about burn-out and how to overcome it. It was also good to hear from people who major in different parts of the art world by their view on creativity" — Christy Ramsey "I thought it was very inspiring to see and hear different kind of artists and their opinions. It really helped to open my mind up again. It really got me to thinking." — Katie Minton, first-year photography student "The discussion was enjoyable and enlightened, but the best part was the opportunity to exchange ideas with working artists." — John Sessoms "I enjoyed the video and would like to have seen more. I would like to see more versatile seminars at RCC. I really enjoyed it." — Jackie Willis "Enjoyed the video very much. Would like to have seen more." — Ashley Fetner, Portrait Photography Instructor "The Creativity Workshop was refreshing after weeks of doing technical assignments as fast as was practical; having the chance to explore creativity in a group was precious." — Jenn Doscher, first-year photography student "I was impressed with the video "Clear Vision." It was very inspiring, and I would have liked to have seen more of it and discussed some of what was going on in the video. I also enjoyed the conversation about burn-out and the ways to help avoid it. The perspectives and opinions of Greg Shelnutt and Will Taylor on creativity was really enjoyable, especially with their different major in the Arts." — Sue Stolarczyk, first-year photography student |
